Liana Shallenberg recognized at the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards

Founded in 1923, the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards is the nation's longest-running, most prestigious educational initiative supporting student achievement in the visual and literary arts. The program has an impressive legacy of being first to acknowledge creative talent and is today's largest source of scholarship for creative teens.

Various LFA students were recognized for their work. Luke Corsiglia received a Gold Key award and a Silver Key award for photography. Arthur He also received a Gold Key award for photography and Daniela Hristeva was awarded a Silver Key award for drawing. The following students also received honorable mentions: Emma Ismail (glass), Tony Fu (painting), Sophie Emery (ceramics), Sydney Brundige (digital art), Julian Bailes (ceramics), Sophie Shoemaker (glass), Anne MacLeod (glass), Sarah Seibert (design), Liana Shallenberg (painting), and Mary Hale (photography).
