Kristine Zengeler graduates from Lake Forest Academy

2015 Jun 11

On May 30th, the LFA community gathered in the Formal Gardens for a graduation ceremony for the Class of 2015. History Instructor Stefanie Bator, as selected by the seniors, gave the graduation address. Shortly afterwards, Senior Class President Richard Melville delivered his remarks to his peers and urged them to look forward to the future.

During the presentation of the Class of 2015, Class Advisors Ruth Smith and Sam Wold handed out diplomas as Kristine and the other graduates were called up to the stage one by one. The ceremony ended with a speech from John Strudwick, Head of School, who congratulated the seniors on a successful end to their high school career.

This year's graduating class consists of students from 56 nations and 9 states, which is a testament to the diversity of the LFA community. Andrew Poska, Dean of College Counseling, praises the Class of 2015 as a group of highly intelligent students who were "able to create an impressive array of college options for themselves."

Kristine will matriculate at Bates College in the fall. Notably, Kristine will be a Division III member of the Bates College track team. She is one of twenty-four students from the LFA Class of 2015 who have signed on to play sports in college.
