Katie Zhou chosen as a Semifinalist in the 2016 National Merit Scholarship Program

Over 1.5 million students took the 2014 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test last October and entered the National Merit Scholarship Program. A Letter of Commendation from the school was presented by John Strudwick, Head of School, to these scholastically talented seniors.

Katie Zhou is one of 16,000 Semifinalists chosen from a group of 1.5 million students who entered the 2016 competition. These talented students will compete for over 7,000 National Merit Scholarships and the finalists will be chosen in the spring.

A spokesperson from NMSC states these students with potential are "a valuable national resource" and "recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation."
