Katherine Zhou participates in the 2014 Service Learning Day

Katherine Zhou participated in Service Learning Day, which took place on Thursday, April 24th. Service Learning Day is an annual event where students attend service trips to forest preserves, retirement centers, and various other locations to give back to the larger community. Katie went to the Northern Illinois Food Bank in the afternoonto sort, label, and package food into boxes. The Northern Illinois Food Bank helps many rural and urban families fight hunger and homelessness throughout Illinois. Sarah Collins, the Director of Service Learning at LFA, called the event a huge success thanks to the hard work of the students and faculty.
