Carrington Newsome and teammates finish Varsity Girls Ice Hockey season

Students start practicing in early November for winter sports and continue participating in games through February and even March. This winter season, the Caxys made several team and personal achievements.

Carrington was part of the varsity girls ice hockey team.

Coach Gia Puch says, "The season started off a little rocky, which was expected given that we lost six seniors last year. No one knew what our team would be like this year, but we were fortunate to add the largest group of freshmen to our roster since my four years coaching at LFA. It took awhile for our girls to get used to playing with each other, but they are a unit now. Above all, it has been really fun coaching the girls and watching them come together as a team." The team made it to the playoffs for the third year in a row.
